We provide access to cricket for individuals of all ages and abilities.
We run table cricket, walking cricket, coach education courses, primary and secondary school age cricket activities, as well as performance cricket (for children through to Over 60s) all delivered by qualified, fully trained and DBS checked coaches.
More information on cricket activities locally and how to get involved is available from our website.
This is good for wellbeing because
- Physical activity is good for you. It raises a person's self esteem, and causes chemical changes in the brain helping a person feel better about themselves and change their mood.
- Being part of a team activity helps a person to connect with others and develop relationships. This overcomes feelings of loneliness and isolation, and improves feelings of self-worth all of which affect our wellbeing.
- Getting involved in cricket will help a person learn and develop new skills leading to improved self esteem and build a sense of purpose.
Friendly and welcoming. Engaging, interactive and motivating. - Quote from teacher involved in primary school activity.
