Language and Health Literacy Development Day

March 12 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm

Are you passionate about clear, inclusive, human language? Curious about how the words you use - spoken and written - shape people’s experiences of health and care? Then the Language and Health Literacy Development Day is designed for you.

We’re inviting colleagues from across health and care to join us on Thursday 12 March to explore health literacy and the real power of language.

What will I get from the day?

During this in-person development day, delivered by the It’s All About People and Health Inequalities and Prevention teams, you’ll:

✅ Take part in interactive, hands-on training

✅ Learn practical skills to improve communication in health and social care

✅ Hear from people about their own lived experience

Stretch your thinking and strengthen your practice

Who should attend?

Anyone who works in or with health, care, and wellbeing, or is connected to it through their roles.

Feedback from the first Language and Health Literacy Development Day in November 2025
