We provide face-to-face peer support to veterans suffering from mental ill health and their families. Veterans are normally referred from the NHS Op Courage service and other similar statutory organisations but can also self-refer.

First Wednesday of every month: The Chappell Centre, Pinchbeck Road, Spalding, PE11 1QF 1000hrs to 1200hrs.

This is good for wellbeing because
- We are NHS-trained peer support workers and have been working closely with the Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing team since December 2018.
- We have lived experience of being veterans ourselves and suffering mental ill health, so we are able to relate with the veterans on a mental health level and also a veteran level.
- We have a high proportion of success with those individuals willing to engage with our support to become independent and active members of their community.
I just want to say a few words to you to let you know how much your help and advice has had a positive effect on my life and well-being. When I first met you David, I was in a poor state of mind and had my head buried in the ground worrying about everything. I was getting no help from the RBL, or any other charities etc, and was thinking of ending it all. But after meeting you and getting your help and support put me back on track in a positive way. Thanks to you I am now getting the support from others that I need to carry on. If anyone out there feels down and out, please listen to David. It’s so nice to have people like him around I also feel that I’ve made a good friend too, who is always welcome to my home.
