We inspire individuals and communities through creative projects that focus on the following areas: - Healthy & Affordable Eating - Nature & the Environment - Innovation & Creativity
We are delivering a number of projects in and around Lincoln where we are focussing on cooking on a budget, community meals, food banks, nostalgic cooking to help improve older people's mental health and we also teach young people how to cook simple and tasty food! We are always delivering different projects so get in touch to find out more!
We hold our activities in numerous places across Lincolnshire, get in touch or follow us on social media to find out more.
This is good for wellbeing because
- Food has a central role in all of our lives - if we know how to make lovely meals on a budget we feel better about ourselves and it means we can look after our families better.
- Food brings people together like nothing else! We can all talk about food - our favourite meals or early memories; these conversations always lead to interesting group discussions about all sorts of things!
- We are able to use cooking skills to help others. We cook meals together and we share this food with others, whether it is the homeless or with other organisations such as the Community Grocery Store - helping others is amazing for your wellbeing!
These courses are incredible. Eamonn and Rob are tackling real issues and helping to grow such worthwhile skills.
It has made a huge difference with my confidence in the kitchen. I have joined the Flourish with Food course and gone from somebody who was super anxious to even make the phone call to ask to join, to someone who loves Thursdays coming around each week so I can get together with the gang again.
We have so much fun and you learn without realising. My chopping skills (whilst nowhere near perfect) are so much improved! There is encouragement and praise and the best part is being able to take your food home each week, knowing you don’t have to cook again and your family can enjoy what you’ve been working on.
