Memory Lane Dementia Day Service

Back to Support
Last Updated: 15/07/2024

People want to remain independent for as long as possible but a diagnosis of dementia can make that harder than it used to be. Memory Lane combines a safe enjoyable experience for the person with dementia and an opportunity for those caring to recharge their batteries.

Memory Lane is suitable for those living with dementia who are able, with support, to enjoy spending time with others in a group setting.

There is a cost to attend, however some free resources are available.

This is good for wellbeing because

  • Activities don't just pass time, they can help the person living with dementia to retain, or sometimes regain, important skills.
  • It provides social contact and enjoyment.
  • They can encourage someone with dementia to try something creative and realise their potential.

Memory Lane is my lifeline. It provides some much needed time for me and I know my husband is cared for and happy.
