Skegness Public Living Room is a warm, welcoming space where local people can relax, meet others, and enjoy a friendly chat over a cuppa. Everyone’s welcome—come as you are!
Our living room meet ups are held weekly on a Thursday from 10am to 12pm. There are no costs and you can drop-in anytime.
Each week people come along and enjoy a tea or coffee and just sit and chat. We have board games, darts and jigsaw puzzles available and are always talking about new ideas for activities and local visits.
We support each other through difficult times, but we also have a lot of laughter.
This is good for wellbeing because
- It's the feeling you have, when you sit down somewhere you love, and feel the world lift a little.
- It's about people who listen and treat everyone the same, who don't judge or try to fix you.
- We talk about everything from haircuts, sharing recipes, book recommendations and the cost of a pint, to more serious issues such as the cost of energy and NHS appointments.
It's nice mixing with different people, and the best thing is that I've made some new friends.
