Friendly, welcoming, safe and stimulating play session, with play stations offering a variety of play - role play, construction, small world, puzzles, books, messy play and craft.
These groups on Mondays and Wednesdays offer parents/carers and their little ones opportunities to play and make friends, helping to relieve the loneliness often associated with parenthood, whilst developing closer relationships and providing opportunities for peer support. Snacks & drinks provided
This is good for wellbeing because
- It gives parents/carers the opportunity to get out and meet others
- It is welcoming and friendly, the leader makes a big effort to encourage parents/carers to chat to one another - whilst allowing new parents to settle in and engage at their own pace
- Parents/carers are able to build their own support network, with others in the same position as them - whilst accessing support and encouragement through the challenging bits of parenthood
Tots was a lifeline when mine were small, it gave me and little one somewhere to go, where I felt comfortable and at home
