Energize is a youth work project set up to help young people in Lincoln live life to the full.
We have lots going on to this end, including youth clubs during term time, holiday programmes (such a HAF, trips and activity days) and pastoral/ behaviour support for pupils in schools.
Energize is part of the fantastic local charity Acts Trust and helps to achieve Acts' overall vision of seeing 'empowered people living in thriving communities'.
We run youth clubs at the following locations in school term time:
Navenby - The Venue @ Navenby, LN5 0JJ - Monday evenings (6-7.30pm)
Waddington- Waddington Community Hub, High St, LN5 9RF - Tuesday & Thursday evenings (6-9pm)
Sincil Bank- Queens Community Hub, South Park, LN5 8EW- Tuesday evenings (5.30-8.30pm)
Birchwood- Energize Youth Centre, Larchwood Crescent, LN6 0NL - Thursday evenings (7-9pm)
We are based at the Energize Youth Centre on Birchwood. During school holidays we work in various locations around Lincoln, mainly in the Ermine, St Giles, Moorland, Monks Road and Birchwood areas.
This is good for wellbeing because
- Getting involved in activities outside of school and the home is great for young people's confidence.
- Energize activities help young people to make new friends and try new things.
- At Energize, our youth workers are trained in listening, befriending and basic counselling. This ensures they know how to help if a young person is struggling – in or out of school.
Energize has made me feel confident enough to leave my house and meet new people.
