Join Jim’s Gym Wellness Walks! Every weekend from 1 Jan to 18 Apr, enjoy friendly, inclusive community walks—short or long, at your pace. A great way to move, connect, and feel good!

Our walks are free to attend and usually run from January - April

(Occasionally we do continue the walks into the summer and beyond but this depends on demand)

We have a timetable of walk distances, start times and locations available on Jim's Gym & Physiotherapy facebook page.

Each week the walks generally start between 0730-0830.

Every weekend there is always a walk <6 miles.

On weekends we are working toward our marathon goal we host two or three different distances to enable, and encourage more of you to get out.

For example on a long walk sunday of 12 miles, we may also host a 4 and 8 mile walk concurrently.

In April we take on the challenge of the Spires and Steeples Walking Marathon. This is a guided event and does incur a small entry fee. Event details are available on Jim's Gym Website.

Walks range from 3 to 26 miles.

Expect a warm, supportive wellbeing community that inspires you to get outdoors, feel better, and enjoy the beautiful countryside right on our doorstep.

Many of the attendees of our walks have gone on to achieve incredible achievements.

Whether your goal is just to get out and be more active or to conquer a 100 mile endurance event. We are here to support you, cheer you on and encourage you along the way.

We look forward to welcoming you on our walks, and seeing where your potential takes you!"

This is good for wellbeing because

  • Encourages all ages and abilities to get outside.
  • Implements the start of weekly health routine which has the potential to encourage further health changes.

  • Is cost effective and can be attended by the majority of persons - We have had hundreds attend over the previous 3 years with over 150+ completing a walking marathon. Ages 12-70.

I've been able to achieve goals I didn't ever think possible and continue to be able to push my limits with the full support of him and the fantastic community he has created.
