We maintain and operate a number of historic narrow gauge railway vehicles with connections to Lincolnshire at Skegness Water Leisure Park.
Variety of activities - maintaining railway track and vehicles indoors and out, driving locomotives after training, interacting with the public on operating days.
Membership costs £10:00 per year and we meet on Wednesdays and Saturdays and operate a passenger service in July and August.
This is good for wellbeing because
- Physical activity such as lifting sleepers, shovelling stone, weeding etc.
- Socialising with like minded folk.
- A reason to keep in touch with the outside world and mix with people of all ages and backgrounds.
I like being out in the open air, working on the track with other volunteers.
