Lincolnshire Outdoor Learning is a registered social enterprise that creates and uses Outdoor Learning spaces to work with people to support their Mental Health and facilitate a greater appreciation of the natural environment and Healthy Lifestyles.

We stand for improving peoples health and wellbeing and developing community groups that will support each other through regular outdoor activities linked to growing foodplants for cooking and improving the local biodiversity.

With funding from Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Trust and Shine Lincolnshire, our Growth 4 Health project uniquely combines mental health support with hands-on engagement and engagement with healthy food, within our Sow Study Sustain grow at home to community gardens circular economy model. This will initially foster health and wellbeing over three years and beyond.

This is good for wellbeing because

  • We offer an opportunity to connect with other people on a regular basis.
  • Gardening activities are good exercise for good health and fitness.
  • It is an opportunity to learn new skills and share your experience with others

At the end of the day I go home and feel that I have achieved something important.
