Men’s Shed, Boston is for men over 50 to meet in a warm, safe and friendly environment, where they can sit and chat over a cup of tea or coffee. Activities take place including woodwork and gardening but is not restricted to this.
There is a cost to attend – but there are some free resources
This is good for wellbeing because
- It helps reduce isolation and loneliness and allows friendships to blossom.
- New friends can be made, allowing regular meet ups to reduce loneliness.
- Taking part in activities and meeting others boosts self-esteem and confidence
