Learn a different craft each time, working as a team to make a set of beautiful gifts which are delivered to another group once complete. (Themed to the season when appropriate).

MHFA artist-led workshop.

Craft box of materials supplied to group for participants to continue between sessions.

Printed ‘how to’ leaflets produced for each craft covered at the workshop sessions & short online tutorial uploaded to APU website for reference.

‘Volunteering’ for those in community to join the crafting ‘teams’.

Groups will receive gifts made by the other groups.

This is good for wellbeing because

  • It offers a key opportunity to ‘give’ back (5 Ways to Wellbeing), and connect to the wider community, to have purpose and feel more supported, valued, safer, with a greater sense of belonging - which increases self-esteem and empathy.
  • Encourages participants to engage and upskill with the 5 Ways to Wellbeing through creative behaviours to manage everyday mental health and wellbeing needs.
  • We can signpost to other opportunities/support in the community.
