Stretch, Strengthen and Move is a dance class in Sleaford for adults to improve core balance and flexibility.

What will I learn?

Enjoy a joyful, welcoming contemporary dance session designed to gently build core strength, balance, flexibility and coordination. Using contemporary dance techniques, this class offers focused movement that supports overall wellbeing and can complement other activities you enjoy.
Perfect for beginners or anyone looking for a mindful yet energising way to move, the session encourages you to work at your own pace and reconnect with your body through creative movement.

Each class includes:

  • A gentle travelling warm-up to wake up the body
  • Contemporary dance technique exercises to mobilise and strengthen the spine, feet, legs and arms
  • Gradually building into larger dance phrases or travelling exercises
  • A calm cool-down, with chair-based or mat-based stretches (depending on your preference)
  • Time for relaxation, helping you leave feeling refreshed and grounded
What do I need to bring?

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely, such as leggings or joggers and a t-shirt. Bare feet are welcome, or you can wear light shoes that are easy to move in.
Bring a bottle of water – refill stations are available at the Hub.

Is it suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. All abilities are welcome, and movements can be adapted to suit individual needs. You’ll be supported to move in a way that feels right for you.
