Friendly, welcoming community choir who love to just get together and have fun singing a range of material and entertaining the local community.
Whether you are experienced or a complete beginner everyone is welcome. We meet every Thursday from 7-8pm at Sutton St James Baptist Church.
This is good for wellbeing because
- We actively promote music for mental health - singing for pleasure
- It is a chance to get out and have fun one evening every week and make new friends
- It is rewarding to entertain the local people, we visit churches / care homes / private & public events to name but a few
I was completely out of my comfort zone when I joined SSJ Choir, but six months on and I absolutely love it, my mental health has greatly improved via the medium of music.
