The Loft Youth Group is a fun, welcoming space for young people to chat, play, create, and grow—building confidence, skills, and friendships every week.

THE LOFT Youth Group at Grantham Baptist Church at 7.30pm till 9pm.  A space where young people can be themselves, speak up, and connect.

Here, they explore topics that matter, share views respectfully, and learn from each other—building confidence and communication skills along the way.

It’s more than just a hangout.

With snacks, chats, and a relaxed vibe, it’s a social space full of fun and creativity. From arts and crafts to quizzes, games, and team challenges, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and feel proud of.

Get moving and feel good.

Whether it’s football, basketball, rounders, table tennis or pool—active games help boost mood, reduce stress, and spark friendly competition.

Grow together.

Young people build friendships, confidence, and a sense of belonging. They learn life skills like teamwork and problem-solving, and practical ones like cooking, budgeting, and creative arts.

Support that matters.

With trusted adults and informal mentoring, it’s a safe space to talk, unwind, and get support with mental health and everyday pressures.

Positive paths forward.

Role models, volunteering opportunities, and community projects help young people stay engaged, make good choices, and feel part of something bigger.

Join us for a fun, friendly, and welcoming youth group – running during term time and completely free of charge.

Each session offers something for everyone:

Discussion & Topical Talks – chat about real-life issues and current topics in a supportive space.

Tuck Shop – affordable snacks and drinks, perfect for socialising. (majority of the weeks free snacks to enjoy.)

Activities – arts, crafts, games, quizzes, and creative challenges.

Sports – football, basketball, table tennis, pool table and more to keep active.

No booking is needed – simply turn up!
On your first visit, an adult will need to complete a short consent form for you to join in."

This is good for wellbeing because

  • Friendship building – safe space to meet peers outside of school.
  • Confidence growth – speaking up, sharing ideas, performing or leading activities.
  • Sense of belonging – feeling part of a community, reducing loneliness.

I enjoy coming to the Loft, it helps me make friends, everyone is kind and accepts me just how I am. I love it and look forward to it on Fridays.
