Toddle In is a fun and relaxed group where you and your little one can come along, make friends and enjoy time together. We'd love to see you there!
Toddle In is a baby and toddler group designed for parents and caregivers with children under five years old. Our aim is to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for families to connect with others, share experiences, and have fun.
When you come to Toddle In, you can expect a warm welcome from our friendly volunteers. We offer a variety of activities for children to enjoy, including toys, games, crafts, and songs. Our sessions are designed to be child-led, so little ones can explore and play in a safe and engaging environment.
For parents and caregivers, Toddle In offers a chance to meet other families in the local community. We know that parenting can sometimes be lonely, and so our group provides an opportunity to connect with others who are going through similar experiences. We also have tea, coffee and biscuits available to enjoy and relax.
At Toddle In, we follow a play-based approach to learning, which means that children can develop their social, emotional, and physical skills through play. We also offer a range of seasonal activities and events throughout the year, including Easter and Christmas parties, and trips to local attractions.
This is good for wellbeing because
- Provides a sense of community: Joining Toddle In can help combat feelings of loneliness and isolation, particularly for parents and caregivers who may feel disconnected from others. By connecting with other families, participants can build a sense of community, which can have a positive impact on their mental health and wellbeing.
- Encourages play and physical activity: Toddlers and young children need plenty of opportunities for play and physical activity to support their growth and development. Toddle In provides a space where children can explore, learn and develop through play, which can have a positive impact on their physical and mental wellbeing. For adults, participating in physical activity with their child can also be a great way to improve their own physical health and boost their mood.
- Supports learning and development: The activities offered at Toddle In are designed to support children's learning and development in a fun and engaging way. By engaging in activities such as crafts, songs, and games, children can develop their creativity, cognitive skills, and social-emotional competencies, which can have long-term benefits for their wellbeing. For parents and caregivers, seeing their child thrive and develop new skills can also bring a sense of satisfaction and joy.
Joining Toddle In has been such a positive experience for me and my little one. As a first-time parent, I was nervous about meeting other families, but the group was so welcoming and friendly. My child loves playing with the toys and engaging in the activities, and it's been great to see them develop new skills and make friends.
For me, Toddle In has been a lifeline. It's been a chance to connect with other parents and caregivers, share experiences, and feel less alone. I've also appreciated the opportunity to participate in activities with my child and see them grow and learn.
Overall, I would highly recommend Toddle In to any parent or caregiver looking for a supportive and engaging group for their little one.
