BEAMing Wellbeing

11-12pm

BEAMing Wellbeing – helps people to explore and learn useful tips and techniques to support their wellbeing. These include mindful arts and crafts, mindful movement, breath work and overall relaxation to help reduce stress, calm anxiety and promote selfcare.

Autistic Adult Support Group - aims to offer a safe and welcoming environment where people can meet to share their thoughts, experiences, and gain peer support.

This is good for wellbeing because

  • We provide a safe space for people to be able to come along and talk about their mental health and wellbeing.
  • We provide a space where people are listened to and not judged - encouraging people to not feel alone and helping to reduce stigma.
  • We encourage people to meet new people, develop peer support and also explore other groups/services within the local community.

I was meeting new people, people who were there to listen and didn’t judge me. Rather than shutting myself away in bed, I started to come out and attended BEAM every week
