Butterflies is for women who are going through tough times, lonely, need a break from everyday situations, and need some me time to unwind, relax and chat. We also do crafts, and cakes and refreshments are available.
The group is run by volunteers who care and want you to feel special.
12.45pm to 2.15pm in the Brayford Suite at Alive Church Newland. Term Time Only.
Everything is free but donations towards refreshments are welcome.
This is good for wellbeing because
- It provides an opportunity to meet new friends in a relaxed environment.
- It is a free and warm. Numbers are small and it's safe space.
- Volunteers are happy to meet new people close by if they are nervous about walking into a room of new people for the first time.
I like Butterflies as, even if I'm having a difficult time, it's a safe space and even if I don't want to do the planned craft activity I can sit and chat to the other ladies or to one of the volunteers who are all great listeners and so supportive of us all.
