Butterflies is for women who are going through tough times, lonely, need a break from everyday situations, and need some me time to unwind, relax and chat. We also do crafts, and cakes and refreshments are available.
We provide a range of crafting opportunities and often have activities chosen by the ladies. We also offer a range of advice and support, acting as a referral to other agencies and support such as food bank and help with housing and management of finances.
This is good for wellbeing because
- It provides an opportunity to meet new friends in a relaxed environment.
- It is free and warm. Numbers are small and it is a safe space.
- Volunteers are happy to meet new people close by if they are nervous about walking into a room of new people for the first time.
