Reach Out aims to support women who are at risk of developing mental health dips. The focus is to support women with all aspects of their lives including benefits, maternity rights, employment rights and financial wellbeing.

The focus is to support women with all aspects of their lives including benefits, maternity rights, employment rights and financial wellbeing. The project will address the pressures experienced by women with a view to reducing gender inequality and disadvantage.

This is good for wellbeing because

  • The project will explore everyday issues to proactively support women to minimise the risk of mental health struggles. Women will gain greater confidence in their ability to build upon and maintain their own mental wellbeing, whilst also embedding a self-sufficient and resilient approach to resolve future life events.
  • We will achieve positive changes as dedicated ongoing support will be provided. Support will be provided in a safe space where they feel able to discuss their concerns. If safe to do so, advice can be provided at coffee shops and community venues. This ensures that participants feel comfortable and do not feel overwhelmed at the thought of attending a formal setting.
  • The result will be that clients will begin to feel more positive about themselves and their situations. This in turn will help to reduce stress, feelings of anxiety and hopelessness.
