The project aims to support people (men and women who are 18+) experiencing mental health challenges, to enable and empower them to improve their mental health and wellbeing through gardening, therapeutic horticulture and wellness activities through self-care.
This programme will provide a safe space, using a person-centred approach. WRAP uses nature’s tools to promote self-care, recovery and wellness.
This is good for wellbeing because
- It empowers people to advocate for themselves
- It supports people to become more self aware and learn techniques to over come their challenges.
- It signposts people to the right support for their needs.
I've learnt to change the way I think. Everything I have learnt on the course has happened in my life so I can identify early warning signs and get help.
