A free, safe space for international visitors to come, find community and practice their English skills.
The International Welcome Cafe is open Thursdays, 1pm-3pm during term time. Closed during school holidays.
This is good for wellbeing because
- It promotes a sense of community for refugees and other international visitors: a chance to make friends and establish a support network.
- It gives those attending a chance to practice their English skills.
- It gives space to learn more about the city and the services and activities it has to offer.
The people in the Cafe are very friendly and helpful. I want to learn more English and I want to make new friends.
