We provide community transport for those who struggle to access public transport through age, physical or mental health.
This includes accessible minibuses if you live in the Lincoln city area and a car scheme that runs in the wider county. We also offer the Shop-mobility service in Lincoln city centre.
This is good for wellbeing because
- We enable people to get out and about, maintaining their independence for longer.
We take people to clubs, groups and events which helps the fight against social exclusion.
- We also offer volunteer opportunities for those who would like to drive. We know form the feedback that we get from our volunteers that they feel this really helps with their wellbeing. They really enjoy meeting new people, helping them and building rapport with other volunteers.
- We give a personal and friendly service with our regular group of volunteers which aids those that struggle with social anxiety.
This service is vital to the area, because without it people would be trapped in their homes
