We offer a wide range of activities including art and craft basic cookery skills, community interaction. We have our own allotment that we work on all the year around and grow our own veg to use in our cookery.
We also sell the veg in our pop-in shop, that is run by the people we support. All the people we support have a personal support plan, and we work on all of their goals and aspirations. We have people we support in work placements, and all the people we support are involved in volunteering in the community.
We support people from Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 3.00pm.
There is a cost to attend, but there are some free resources.
This is good for wellbeing because
- All of our people are contributing to our local community, through our voluntary work and our regular community events. We are getting very well known for what we offer to the local community.
- Working on our allotment encourages personal wellbeing, gives people a sense of achievement, as well as improving peoples' physical fitness. It also encourages friendship as we encourage people in the community to come and use it and give us tips and ideas.
- North Road provides a friendly environment for people to work towards their goals and aspirations.
I like coming to North Road to make friends and do all the activities.
