Oasis Family Support provides advice, information and emotional support to adults living in Lincolnshire whose lives have been negatively impacted by a loved one's use of drugs or alcohol.
We offer face-to-face, telephone and virtual support on different topics such as isolation, wellbeing, boundaries, co-dependency, financial worries and signposting to other services. Clients can tell us as little or as much as they want and we promise to keep this information confidential unless we need to share information to protect the client and or others.
This is good for wellbeing because
- We support well-being by addressing feelings of isolation, we encourage our clients to engage in activities they enjoy and access local support groups in their area.
- We support well-being by working on healthy coping skills. Working alongside the client, we form a toolbox to help them cope with the substance use in the family and what they can do to keep themselves and others safe.
- We support well-being by helping the client install healthy boundaries with the person using the substances. By doing this we hope to empower the client to regain healthy control in the family and feel more confident going forward.
Since coming to our sessions I’ve been inspired and they have helped me to move on and look at my situation in a different way. I have started taking my dog out for walks again, thank you for your support
