This is good for wellbeing because

  • Reduces feelings of loneliness and isolation - Sharing a cuppa with others in a welcoming environment helps people feel less alone, especially during challenging times
  • Promotes emotional expression and openness - Informal settings like Tea & Chat encourage people to talk freely—whether about mental health or everyday life—which can ease emotional burdens and build resilience
  • Boosts mood and reduces stress - The simple act of sitting down with others for tea can release serotonin, a neurotransmitter linked to emotional wellbeing. It’s a calming ritual that helps people reset during stressful days.
