Safe Anchor Wellness provides personalised, holistic wellbeing support, including assessments, tailored plans, advocacy, nutrition advice, ongoing support, and connecting people with local services through collaborative working.

Safe Anchor Wellness provides free, holistic support to help improve mental health and wellbeing.

Support includes:

  • Online support for stress, depression and anxiety
  • Nutrition advice and “cooking on a budget” sessions every Thursday, 10am–1pm at Restore Church, Boston
  • Advocacy and pastoral support for parents who may be struggling
  • Floating support for those moving into independent accommodation, including help with: updating address on Universal Credit, housing benefit applications, maximising benefits.

Their aim is to reduce waiting times for support by acting as a link between individuals and the services they need, working closely with a range of local organisations.

All services are free, thanks to funding.

This is good for wellbeing because

  • Our activities promote self-actualisation, autonomy, empowerment and mental health resilience.  This is through advocacy and exploration of individual needs grounded in person-centric support.
  • Our services provides quicker and easier access to needed support and resources which facilitates long term general wellbeing. This is achieved through collaborative work with other agencies. We believe in handing over to other support providers rather than sign-posting. This creates a smooth transition from one service provider to another.
  • Our activities enhance knowledge, awareness of mental health and the relationship between nutrition and general health.
Through the health corner, the relationship between food and mental health is explored with budgeting in mind focussing on using whatever is left in the fridge, cupboards or kitchen.
