We are here to offer support to anyone who has been affected by the death of a baby before, during or shortly after birth; SANDS offers a listening ear and comfort at such a devastating time.
As well as supporting mothers, fathers and same-sex partners, we are also here to offer emotional support for grandparents, siblings, children, families, and friends and others. We can also offer support for parents during subsequent pregnancies, which can present parents with a whole new set of challenges.
This is good for wellbeing because
- We provide a safe, confidential and comforting space to find support after the death of a baby.
- We have experience talking to many parents offering one-to-one support over the phone, by email or chat.
- Our online communities allow affected parents to contact other bereaved parents with similar experiences, and find mutual support.
