St Barnabas Hospice Creative Wellbeing Groups

Back to Support
Last Updated: 15/02/2024

Our Creative Wellbeing groups provide a fun, relaxed and friendly setting for anyone with a palliative diagnosis, family members, carers or anyone who has experienced a bereavement.

Groups meet weekly and activities include crocheting and knitting, sewing, memory book making, colouring, weaving, paper craft, painting, and other crafts.

Our groups are volunteer-led and free to join in. We are always happy to hear from people with creative interests who would like to volunteer to support our groups.

This is good for wellbeing because

  • the volunteers are able to share their skills and support others to learn new crafts
  • it offers a creative focus which can help relieve stress and tension
  • it brings people together which helps to build friendships and support networks
