St Laurence Church Community Hub is a warm, friendly, and welcoming space where everyone is invited to come along, enjoy a coffee, and connect with others. We also host a variety of activities and events designed to bring people together, support wellbeing and community spirit.

We host fortnightly coffee mornings where everyone is welcome to drop in for a friendly chat. While the event itself is free to attend, we kindly ask for a small contribution of £1 for a drink and £1 for a slice of cake—perfect for a cosy catch-up!

We also run a monthly bingo afternoon, which includes 4 games and a mini quiz for just £5. Winners receive a £5 prize, and we provide tea, biscuits, and cake at no extra cost. It’s a great way to have fun and meet new people!

There is a small cost for drinks and bingo.

Free to attend however there is a small charge for drinks and bingo.

This is good for wellbeing because

  • It is a place for the lonely in the village to meet up.
  • The elderly can make new friends and get to know each other better
  • The bingo is a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon, with lots of laughs and banter, people attend not only from Corringham but the surrounding villages

It is my lifeline, without this I wouldn’t get out the house and see or speak to anyone
