Student Wellbeing Centre - University of Lincoln

Back to Support
Last Updated: 15/07/2024

The Student Wellbeing Centre is made up of a team of Advisors, Support Staff and Student Wellbeing Administrators who are here to try and support those students who are experiencing any type of difficulty.

We have a daily Wellbeing Walk-In service so that students can access the service ‘on the day’ that they feel they need the support. Every student who registers with the service also gets allocated an advisor who will remain with that student until they Graduate (occasionally even slightly longer if needed). The Student Wellbeing Centre delivers a range of groups (online and face-to-face), events around campus, resources and has an SVLO and counselling service. We also run a residential Summer School every July for prospective students who are experiencing anxieties about the transition to university.

This is good for wellbeing because

  • Offers a confidential safe space to openly talk.
  • Offers a range of skill-based interventions to help students develop a personal toolkit of strategies.
  • Can help signpost students into mores specific support services.

The (staff members x2) were fantastic for me, they made me feel very at ease and calm in a situation where there were two emotions I didn't think I would feel. If they are both a sign of what the whole student support staff is like at Lincoln, then I am hugely confident that everyone is in considerably safe hands.

I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to yourself and the team for all the love and support over the last 4 years. I wholeheartedly believe that you are all such an integral part to my uni experience and would be lost without all of the guidance you have provided.
