SoBS (Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide) – Lincoln Group. The SoBS Lincoln Group offers safe, understanding peer support for adults (18+) who have been bereaved by suicide.
The group provides a compassionate space to share experiences, feel less alone, and connect with others who truly understand the impact of suicide loss, at your own pace and in confidence.
Monthly face‑to‑face meetings are held on the last Monday of each month. The group provides peer support for adults bereaved by suicide and is run by trained volunteers as a local branch of the SoBS national charity.
All attendees must register and book in advance for each session. Full details of the location and meeting time are shared once booking has been confirmed.
The policy of the charity is to only give details of location and timings to registered users of the group.
This is good for wellbeing because
- It gives people bereaved by suicide the opportunity to speak about their experiences following their loss, with others in similar situations.
- The charity provides signposting to other services which may be relevant to some.
- For those unable to get to monthly sessions, the charity provides alternative support if required.
