Talk Club

Last Updated: 29/10/2024

Talk & Listen groups are peer to peer talking groups led by volunteers we call Captains.

We train Captains to facilitate groups in communities across the UK.

These groups are held both in person and online.

In person meetings are held in gyms, pubs, local cafe’s… in safe and quiet spaces so people can talk and listen using the Talk Club sharing model which starts with ‘How are you? Out of 10?’. This simple question helps people to put a number on how they feel, (1 being rock bottom and 10 being on top of the world) then trying to explain why.

Depending on the number of people attending, sessions last a maximum of two hours.

Groups meet at different times, days and frequencies depending on the Captain and availability of space in the community.

Please see below for more information.

Witham St Hughs Village Hall - meeting every 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 7.45 pm to 9.45 pm

This is good for wellbeing because

  • It allows people to discuss their feelings
  • It promotes healthy mindsets
  • It allows people to get to know new people in their area
