Mental Health Peer Support Group specialising in personality disorder.

Upbeat Lincoln is a mental health peer support group that runs in Lincoln.

Meets: every Thursday

Between: 16:00pm and 18:00pm

At: Lark Books - 4 Saltergate Lincoln LN2 1DH.

Offering a relaxed, non-judgemental, safe space to talk about experiences and feelings. The groups are very friendly and all share experiences of living with a complex mental health condition.

You do not need a diagnosis - the group welcome anyone who would like to know more about personality disorders, be it family, friends or if you believe you may be experiencing symptoms. It is a diverse group, so you will never be alone whatever your age, personality or gender identity 🙂

Feel free to drop in during a meeting, or message [email protected] with any questions and queries you may have.

Get in touch if you are new and hoping to attend, so the group can make sure someone is there to greet you.

This is good for wellbeing because

  • Having a personality disorder can be very isolating. Finding others with shared experiences helps you feel less alone.
  • Being around others who understand and experience the world in a similar way is very freeing, and helps build confidence and self acceptance.
  • Alongside clinical treatments (medication, counselling etc), participating in peer support is proven to improve mental wellbeing and emotional regulation.

Being a part of this group has helped me in so many ways."

"Most of my life I have felt like an outsider who is living on a different planet to everyone else. But this group has been like finding my people."

"I can be myself."

"They have helped me to love myself and I’ll always be grateful for that.
