White Heather Bereavement Support Group – A friendly space to share, connect, and heal. Enjoy chats, games, quizzes, meals out, and visits while finding support and friendship.

Grief can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. The White Heather group offers a warm, friendly space to share, connect, and find comfort.

What to expect:

✔ Everyone sits around a U-shaped table so you can chat and see the activities.
✔ You’ll be welcomed with tea, coffee, and cakes – it’s a truly friendly atmosphere.
✔ Enjoy bingo, quizzes, inspiring readings, and time to talk.
✔ Guest speakers join occasionally, and the group also arranges meals out and day trips to places like the seaside.

We meet every two weeks on Tuesdays, 1.30–3.30pm and we ask for £2 donation towards refreshments.

Come along for companionship, laughter, and support – the time flies by!

This is good for wellbeing because

  • Attending a bereavement group is beneficial for mental well-being as it fosters social connections and provides emotional support.
  • Regular gatherings enhance social bonds, reduce loneliness, and offer a safe space for emotional expression. These groups also promote positive mood and happiness by stimulating the production of neurotransmitters associated with pleasure and happiness.
  • Additionally, support groups provide a sense of belonging, safety, and purpose, helping individuals cope with challenges and improve their overall mental health.
