Widowed and Young (WAY)

Back to Support
Last Updated: 15/07/2024

WAY is a UK charity that offers a peer-to-peer support network for anyone who has lost a partner before their 51st birthday – married or not, with or without children, inclusive of sexual orientation, gender, race, and religion.

If you would like to join WAY, then the quickest way is via our website where you can complete an online membership form and pay the annual subscription.

WAY Widowed and Young is a national charity with over 100 members in the Lincolnshire area.

This is good for wellbeing because

  • Talking to and socialising with others who’ve been through a similar experience can be a lifeline when you’re adjusting to life after loss. If you decide to join WAY, there will always be someone to talk to – whether that's online (through our member's only website, our closed Facebook group or virtual events), over the telephone (via the confidential helpline) or in person now local and national meet-ups have started to resume.
  • At a local level, WAY operates through a network of volunteers who have all been widowed young themselves, so they understand how it feels.
